PARISH councillors got together to celebrate the completion of new play equipment at a Grappenhall park.
Grappenhall and Thelwall Parish Council chairman Clr Dave Hockenhull and borough councillor Mike Biggin were on hand for the three to five year olds at Morris Brook Park.
“This is a fantastic improvement on the previous derelict area” said Clr Biggin.
“It has taken a few years to get this established, but with the willing co-operation of parish and borough Councils (and funding from WREN), we can now boast that we probably have the best range of parks in Warrington.
"It’s absolutely ideal for very young children and is roughly based on a woodland theme.
"I can’t really account for the pink elephant, but I’m aware that already it is being enjoyed by a large number of families with toddlers.”
