A RECORD number of Lymm Runners are preparing to tackle next month's Chester Marathon.
Twenty five will take part in the race - the highest number of runners the club has entered into a marathon, and for many it will be the first time they have tackled 26.2 miles.
The race takes place on Sunday, October 5, and many of the runners have been training throughout summer.
Lymm Runners meet at Lymm Leisure Centre every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm, and every Sunday at 8am and 9am.
The club, which formed in 2010 and is the only running club in the village, recently lowered its membership age to 16.
