MAKE sure your name is on the register of electors to be able to vote is the message from council chiefs.
Residents have until May 6 to register to vote in this year’s local and European parliament elections held on May 22.
A spokesman added: “If you are not on the electoral register it could also affect your credit rating which means you might not be able to apply for a credit card, loan or mortgage.
“If you have recently moved house you need to let electoral services know so they can update your details.”
