Red faced officials forced to cancel Winwick by-election
RED faced council officials have had to cancel a planned by-election in Winwick.
Council officials put the wrong ward, St Oswald’s, in its announcements when it should have been the Houghton ward.
A new date will now have to be found for the election, which was due to take place on March 13.
Meanwhile elections will take place in the Cobbs ward of Appleton and Woolston West on March 13.
