WARINGTON enjoyed its last piece of Rugby League World Cup action on Sunday.
And the tournament ended in style at The Halliell Jones with Fiji beating Samoa to make the semi finals of the tournament next weekend at Wembley.
Almost 13,000 watched the clash and were also entertained by school children from across town.
Pupils from Green Lane in Padgate and Cardinal Newman in Latchford joined forces to form a choir which performed before kick off - and blasted out the anthems.
While the youngsters from Westbrook Old Hall Primary School put on a show at half time, with their version of a Samoan dance.
It followed the free live performance of Window on Warrington in the town centre before kick off.
Among the crowd was Andrew Johns, the one time Wolves scrum half, who has been to every World Cup quarter final on a hospitality trip.
