WHEN people ask me what I do on Wednesday evening, they are often surprised to hear that my friends and I go ballroom dancing.
Though it is not seen as the cool thing for teenagers to do, it is a good way to have fun and exercise at the same time.
On Wednesdays at 8pm in Glazebury Community Scout Hut, Marjorie Green teaches different ballroom dances from the cha-cha-cha to the waltz.
The age range of the dancers is from 13 to 45+. You may even find grandparents dancing with their grandchildren.
The teen generation of dancers were inspired to start dancing by a certain BBC TV show.
When some new dancers started, they commented on how surprised they were that the rest of the group were under 70, let alone between 13 and 15.
So if you find yourself wondering what to do on a Wednesday evening, why not come and give ballroom dancing a try?
