A GORSE Covert pub is celebrating after an £80,000 transformation.

The Poacher, on Gorse Covert Road, was in severe danger of closing before a new landlord bought the building on May 10 and completely renovated the pub.

Martin Molloy, who moved to Warrington from Birmingham, said: “I moved up here because I really like the area. I own a pub in Birmingham too, so it’s not a new experience, but a continuing one.”
