A COLLEGE lecturer has reached the final of a national make-up competition.
Melanie Doyle, from Glazebury, will be battling it out with other top make-up artists before attending the award show in June.
Melanie, who is a lecturer at Wigan and Leigh College, said: “It would be a real accolade if I won the trophy.
“It would be a huge encouragement for my students to see their teacher achieve success.”
Melanie entered the exposure and revelation category at the National Warpaint Professional Make-Up Artist competition earlier this year.
The 35-year-old came second after creating a camera-ready look on a model that had to appear retouched even though it was not.
Following a further round of judging Melanie has reached the final stages of the competition where this year’s theme will be catwalk couture.
