It's Valentine's Day and I'd like to think that people shouldn't just be thinking of romantic love. Love extends to family, friends and strangers.
Some people seem to have forgotten this.
I'm thinking of those people against organ donation on the TV last night. The 'Die and let Die' attitude of seemed so incredibly selfish to me that it made me angry.
I don't understand the need for people to keep their organs once they're dead. You don't need them.
Your body is not you; you are defined by your actions, your deeds, your heart and soul. Your body is just a vessel.
If your organs could save someone else's life, whether it's your family or not, then why would you condemn someone else to death?
Maybe I'm phrasing this extremely. But I think some people need it put that way.
What better way is there than for a little piece of you to live on in a way it counts?
Your kindness, love for life and people will be forever in the minds and hearts of those you have saved.
I made sure I was signed up as I thought I'd done it before and the rest of my family are signed up too.
A question to all those who won't sign up: Do you really want to be one of those people who is all take, take, take?
Would you take an organ but never give one of yours?
