AFTER having heard so many bad work experience stories, I was in no way looking forward to my work experience at Thornton's.

But as soon as I stepped into the shop, I was put at ease, and I knew that this would be a work experience that I would enjoy.

All the people who work there went out of their way to make me feel comfortable, and they treated me as if I had been working with them for ages.

I immediately felt as if I belonged there and there is always such a happy environment.

Even though some bits of the day could be a bit slow and boring, I always had something to do and I felt as if I was actually of use to the people in the shop.

All the employees are so friendly with the customers and always have a smile on their faces.
