BOYS Club is a youth club with a difference because no girls are allowed.
I attend regularly on a Monday evening from 6.30pm until 8pm.
The leaders, Dave and Fran, prepare a range of outdoor activities for the group concentrating on sports like football, rugby and kwik cricket.
During the winter months, indoor activities, including darts, board games and snooker/pool are on offer. In addition to this, overnight sleeps and camping weekends are arranged. The club is located in the hut next to Sacred Heart Church, on Liverpool Road.
The group has around eight regular members, but we are looking to enrol more young people.
There is a good atmosphere and all the boys and leaders are very friendly and encouraging towards each other in whatever they do.
So, if you are aged between 11 and 16, why not come down and join us.
