SATURDAY for many in Warrington is a day for football and with Warrington Town not yet at the forefront, people have to travel further afield to catch their favourite team in action.
Whether you travel to Manchester, Liverpool or even slightly closer to home, at Wigan, it seems to be the case that people are spoilt for choice.
With two teams in Manchester and a similar situation in Liverpool, it seems that Warrington's residents really do have a rich choice of talent to choose from, and that is before mentioning Bolton.
However, with many football fans inheriting their support for a team from family members, I feel not everyone gets to make that decision.
This is a shame.
But that is the main selling point about football - it is not necessarily about winning.
So let it be celebrated that Warrington is at the centre of football, surrounded by talent.
