HUNDREDS of youngsters battled it out for gold medals at a gymnastic competition.
The annual Warrington Area Set Competition took place earlier this month at LiveWire’s Great Sankey Leisure Centre.
The young athletes competed for gold, silver and bronze medals in seven different sets, while being cheered on by a 300 strong audience made up of family and friends.
Competition organiser Rachel Holden said: “We have hundreds of children in Warrington taking part in recreational gymnastics classes. This is the only gymnastics event in the area that aims to accommodate all children who train one to two hours per week.
“The competition is something they look forward to each year and provides them with a great opportunity to show off their skills in front of an audience."
