Albert James HEESOM
HEESOM Albert James 18/10/1942 02/02/2024. Aged 81yrs of Warrington, England, more recently Stranraer, Scotland, passed after a long illness. Predeceased by his parents, Albert and Edith Heesom. Albert will be missed by his much-loved wife, Eileen (nee Connor), of 59 years, daughter Nicola Dublirer (Robert), son Damian, and much cherished grandchildren Storm and Luke Dublirer. Al was a dear brother to Alexander (Barbara), and to his adored sister Pauline Amorese (the late Franco), brother-in-law to Bernadette Hayes (John) and James Connor (the late Denise). He has left many nieces and nephews each of whom had their own special and unique relationship with him. He shared wonderful memories with lifelong friends met via his work, hobbies, and social clubs (possibly the pub x). Albert was a motor mechanic at Rylands Brothers then a drayman for Tetley Walkers until retirement. He lived in Warrington for the majority of his life but in retirement, Albert and Eileen, moved into a converted train station in Scotland. He loved the property and took great joy in living there. In his youth he was a rugby player with the eyebrow raising stories that go along with that particular lifestyle. He also enjoyed riding and refurbishing motor bikes. In his retirement he enjoyed working on a small boat, was part of an archery club and went clay shooting. Holidays were spent in Spain, Greece, and Mexico often accompanied by good friends, Eric and Kath Cole. Frequent trips to America, where his daughter and her family reside, were a highlight for Albert. Jake, the late family dog brought much entertainment to Albert. Jake reserved his special pant leg pulling antics solely for Albert. A mass at Eileen's church followed by a private cremation will be held in Scotland. This will be followed by an open gathering in Warrington, England. All are welcome to join the family in raising a glass to Albert at the Little Manor in Thelwall WA4 2SX on Thursday February 29th at noon.
