Brought to you by
Padgate Academy
I am incredibly proud to be leading Padgate Academy during an exciting phase in its growth and development.
Our school is part of The Challenge Academy Trust (TCAT) and has recently benefited from significant investment that has helped us to further develop our facilities for the outstanding students at our school.
This period has also seen a rapid growth in our student numbers as more of our local and wider community benefit from the fantastic offer we have for the students in our care. Despite this recent growth, the school still retains the feel of a warm, inclusive, and vibrant community where everyone feels welcome.
A values’ led school
One of our key priorities as a school is to positively develop the character of our students so that they leave school as caring, confident, and respectful young adults. This year we have worked with all our stakeholders to create a set of academy values. These values underpin all that we do and are a key focus of within our extensive programme of personal development.
Working with the community
We believe strong links with our community are really important. One of our highlights this year was the community Christmas afternoon tea which involved students preparing and serving afternoon tea for 100 members of our community.
Our wellbeing evening was also a highlight, The student wellbeing ambassadors were on hand to offer a friendly face whilst signposting parents and carers towards sources of support.
We have also seen some well attended parent/ carer events around supporting students with English as an additional language, supporting students with SEND and supporting students during exam season.
Padgate Community Lectures
These lectures are delivered by invited speakers who have expertise in their field. They are designed to inspire debate and discussion and impart knowledge on a range of topics and issues.
Our lectures are completely free of charge, open to anybody who wishes to attend, and are run as part of our commitment to supporting lifelong learning within our local and wider community.
This year has seen our community visit the school to attend lectures given on a range of fascinating topics. We have two further lectures planned for the summer term and anyone is free to sign up via the event bright links (below).

Enriching opportunities
Our students deserve the best. By thriving on enriched experiences, we want to maximise and enhance every student’s potential. Our comprehensive CAS (Creativity, Activity and Society) enrichment programme complements our academic and personal development offer in order to enrich the lives of all of our students.
We offer over 40 clubs and this year we have seen a wide range of trips and visits including the Duke of Edinburgh award residential; Year 7 Kingswood residential; MasterChef 2023 finals; Reading Ambassador trip to London; United utilities STEM challenge; Liverpool University English scholars event and countless sporting fixtures across Warrington.
