THE meeting was opened with the singing of Jerusalem.
President, Mrs Hornby, welcomed our speaker Mr A Hayhurst. He took us on a trip metaphorically speaking, 600 miles down the Nile.
His illustrations and talk showed his knowledge of the subject and his holiday taken quite a few years ago.
After tea we had our business meeting which included arrangements for events, including our own WI Centenary lunch to be held on Friday followed by a speaker. Also a ‘memorabilia’ table of items.
The Mossland group are planning a trip to Harrogate. Our craft group is on summer recess.
This has been a busy summer of WI events celebrating 100 years, and 95 years, of national, and Cheshire Federation events.
