OUR April meeting was member’s night where six volunteers, led by Jill Hillam, organised a pub quiz evening with refreshments giving our Committee a well-deserved night off.
After welcoming 56 members and one visitor Jill handed over to Andy Lomax, our master of ceremonies for the evening.
Andy organised the quiz which tested our knowledge of geography, history, art, sport and music with 70 questions in all.
The winning table achieved 55 points out of 70.
The results of this months’ competition for an item of pub memorabilia were announced: 1, Norma Owen; 2, Janet Hughes; 3, Katherine Watkin.
We then had a raffle and a game of bingo.
Finally, after a busy evening, Jill read out some dates for our diaries.
