THE institute held its monthly meeting on January 8 at when their president, Mrs Hazel Harkins, thanked everyone for their Christmas gifts which had been gratefully received by Hollins Park Hospital.
Seven resolutions for 2015 were presented and all members were asked to vote for their preference.
After an announcement about doing a snowdrop walk in early February and a visit to The Lowry theatre to see Twelve Angry Men, we were entertained by Mr George Hughes who had been working as a private investigator and we were interested to hear about his work of surveillance, identification, statement taking and tracking benefit fraudsters.
The next meeting will be on February 5 at 7.30pm and visitors and new members will be very welcome.
