IT will be like a Warrington Music Festival (WMF) encore on Saturday as three performers from the event take to the stage again.
Psychedelic rock band Psyblings, acoustic singer-songwriter Kieran Gallimore and grunge rocker Kye Jones will play at a free outdoor music showcase at Saracens Head less than a fortnight after their WMF sets.
They will be joined by contemporary folk band Vala, alternative rock band Dientes and psychedelic blues group The Meremen at Heads Up Festival.
Former Penketh High School student Lees Johnson organised the first festival at the Wilderspool Causeway pub last year to fill the gap when WMF was called off in 2015.
The 42-year-old, who is also the frontman of Dientes, said: "We wanted to put on the Heads Up Festival again this year after the success of last year. It was a brilliant family day with a great turn out and a fantastic mix of musical genres.
"Similar to last year we're keeping the line up small to give the bands enough time to play a full set.
"The Saracen's head is also running an open mic night inside in the evening and screening the England game so there's no reason to go elsewhere."
- Heads Up is free and starts at 3pm on Saturday
