GET set for swashbuckling, owls on horseback, CBeebies, circus tricks and even learn how to jump and roll like a parkour pro when Geronimo returns in May.

Following the successful first event in 2015, the children's festival is coming back to Tatton Park for 2016.

The programme sees the return of CBeebies' Mr Bloom as well as Cook and Line from Swashbuckle and Andy Day's Dino Rap show.

Adrenaline Zone for older kids includes a zip slide, fencing and archery taster lessons and parkour workshops.

Arena entertainment includes motorbike displays teams, a wild goose chase with geese herding, owls on horseback during a falconry show with a difference and jousting with Knights of the Royal Order.

Join dance classes to learn Bollywood or zumba moves, thump along to a gigantic drumming session or sing Frozen songs.

Pocket Story Theatre, children's choice winner at Edinburgh Fringe, will lead the theatre line-up

Or if you want to run away to join the circus, try your hand at plate spinning or stilt walking.

And you can get stuck in with a number of workshops from hair braiding and face painting to stone carving and totem pole making.

Simon Goldman, festival director, said: "As a father of seven, I know how hard it is to find quality days out that cater for the whole family.

"With Geronimo, we've created a festival that’s going to keep the kids entertained all day long, and create memories that will last a lot longer.

"This really is the chance to tick off some of your 50 things to do before you’re 11 and three quarters!"

Geronimo is at Tatton Park on May 29 and 30. Tickets are £18.50. Visit geronimofest.com
