THREE years ago a homeless man walked into a house party in Leeds with a keyboard under his arm and played a medley of house classics to the revellers there.

The video of his performance went instantly viral and is now the stuff of legend.

That man was Davos and in the three years since the original viral video he has been performing worldwide, notching up three consecutive appearances at Glastonbury.

Now, Davos will be joining the roster at the Apartment in Bold Street on Saturday as part of former Birchwood High School pupil Sammy Dean's A Very Important House Party (AVIHP) event.

"It will be almost three years to the day since my life changed for the better and gave me this career," said Davos.

"And I’m delighted to be celebrating it with some of my favourite people, in a decent venue with great music.

"AVIHP is one of the friendliest nights I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing and I’m really glad to be back.”

Davos will be joined by house DJ Allister Whitehead.

He has been performing on the decks since he was 17 and reached cult status in the early 90s when standing in for Mike Pickering at the Hacienda.

Joining them will be AVIHP resident DJ Adam Wilson and Leeds DJs Marc Wilkie and CJ Huckerby, who were both present at Davos’s performance at CJ’s house in 2012.

Tickets are £10 from Mojos in Cairo Street or Lizard Inc Records in Legh Street.
