DO you wish it could be Christmas every day? Roy Wood still does – and he is inviting you all to the party.
The former Wizzard frontman and flamboyant dresser is bringing his 'Rock and Roll Christmas' back to the Parr Hall on Friday, December 11.
Roy may be best known for his Christmas anthem but he has more than 30 chart singles under his belt.
The 69-year-old's song Flowers In The Rain reached number two in the chart and was the first record to be played on BBC Radio One.
Roy also teamed up with fellow Birmingham songwriter Jeff Lynne in the early 70s and the pair went on to form Electric Light Orchestra (ELO).
He has now been performing for more than half a century and his awards include Ivor Novello for most outstanding song collection, Kerrang Songwriter Award, Rock Radio’s Classic Songwriter Award and a place on Mojo's Honours List.
Roy will be supported by The Bar Steward Sons of Val Doonican.
