LASERS will be illuminating the skyline to a soundtrack of battling spaceships on Saturday.
The 'alien invasion' is all part of Warrington's annual Laser Light Show which will follow the theme of Warrington Market's Sci-fi Christmas which will also take place that day.
There will be free displays at 4.30pm, 5pm and 5.30pm with lasers lighting up the sky above the Skittles in the town centre.
Organisers Culture Warrington are hoping to attract the crowd of more than 3,000 who watched the 'Lights in the Sky' laser performance last year.
One events in the town's Christmas calendar include the lantern parade on December 10 and panto Dick Whittington at Parr Hall between January 2 and 10.
Cllr Kate Hannon, executive board member for leisure, community and culture at Warrington Borough Council, said: "The council’s investment in this event certainly paid off last year which saw residents of all ages come together to enjoy this spectacular laser show.
"Events for the Christmas programme have been carefully selected to compliment other events that are taking place.
"Our aim is to provide exciting and enjoyable events that attract more residents and visitors to the town which will boost the local economy.
"I’m sure this year we will see many more families visit the town centre during each laser light performance."
The Laser Light Show, funded by Warrington Borough Council, is free with displays at 4.30pm, 5pm and 5.30pm on Saturday.
