Valdobbiadene Prosecco, £7.49, Aldi
Here is the first of two summer sizzlers you can enjoy come rain or shine.
Prosecco is Italy’s very own champagne-style fizz and this award-winning extra dry example is full of light summer fruits.
What’s more it is around a third of the cost of a bottle of French bubbly so what excuse do you have for not popping a cork or two?
Toro Loco Rose 2014, £3.79, Aldi
Raspberries and cherries are the flavours in this dry, 12% alcohol Spanish rose made from local Bobal grapes in the Utiel Requena region near Valencia.
Well chilled it is delicious either on its own or with a picnic or barbecue.
Toro Loco means Crazy Bull and the price is quite frankly absolutely loco too. Grab it while you can.
