WARRINGTONIANS will have to travel to either Manchester or Liverpool to have a go, but Slide the City – a giant, 300m water slide - is expected to be hugely popular when it arrives in the north west this summer.
The enormous slide that ‘turns hills into water-sliding thrills’ aims to get people outside, having fun, and connecting with their community. The craze began in America, where it is known as the ‘biggest water party of the summer’.
As well as the chance to ride on the enormous slide – which is the length of three football pitches - there will also be food and drink stalls selling refreshments.
People are also encouraged to bring water buckets, inflatables and water guns to add to the party atmosphere.
Tickets start at £10 and you must be aged five or over to take part, or taller than 3ft 9inches.
