EXPLORE Liverpool’s dark underbelly with a tour of the catacombs of World Heritage site St George’s Hall.
The dark cells below the Great Hall, where those waiting to be condemned would spend their final moments, are being opened to the public from February 17 to 23.
The tour will also take a turn for the theatrical as characters from past reappear to illuminate their history.
Alan Smith, St George’s Hall manager said, “In the 160 years that St George’s Hall has been opened, the basement catacombs have never before been utilised for an event.
“It would be hard to find a more dramatic backdrop within a building in which to host historical performance tours that present parts of Liverpool’s unique history.”
Tickets are £15. Visit ticketquarter.co.uk or call 0844 800 0410.
