BUDDING artists searching for brush strokes of inspiration should pay a visit to Bank Quay House this Saturday.
The Sankey Street gallery, shortlisted for a Warrington Business Award, is launching Python Arts Festival with more than 50 sculptures, paintings, illustrations and photos on display.
A winner of the open exhibition will be announced at 3pm on Saturday.
The free festival will take place until Saturday, August 3, with creative opportunities for artists throughout.
Organised by Warrington’s curatorial team, the event will include artist talks, workshops and poetry evenings.
Emma Kelly, head curator, said: “Our galleries offer opportunities for artists to showcase their work in relaxing and approachable spaces.
“Whether you’re a practicing artist, hope to try out a potential new hobby or need some creative inspiration for the summer holidays, Python Festival has plenty to offer.”
The festival follows on from the gallery scooping an accolade at the National Arts & Business Awards in May.
Appleton artist Debbie Budenberg said: “The gallery is a fantastic welcoming space for bringing artists together and this exhibition shows how strong Warrington’s art scene has become.”
Artist Kate Bufton added: “I am thrilled to be exhibiting in the festival as there is so much talent in the area.
“This will be a great chance to see it all come together.”
The galleries is free to enter and will be open Monday to Saturday during the festival.
