IT is to my shame, but I had never been to Disability Awareness Day before Sunday.

I had seen the signs every year and read the stories in the paper, but never had chance to go.

Yet what a delight it was.

To think this is put on by one pretty small band of brothers and all for free is remarkable.

It is such a treasure for this town.

We are so lucky to have it and it really is remarkable.

There was so much to do we could have stayed for the whole time, and we were there for hours.

So, thank you so much to Dave Thompson and the team for bringing this to Warrington.

Of all the events which take place in this town, this surely is the jewel in the crown.
