A TEENAGER and his mum are starring in a BBC reality show which follows conversations between families as they get behind the wheel.
Lenny Izzard and his mum Julie, from Great Sankey, were chosen to feature in Teen Taxi; a show on BBC iPlayer which is now filming its second series.
Parents and their children discuss different topics on each episode while being filmed by a GoPro camera.
The reality show features 'honest, outrageous and feel-good stories' about being a young person in Britain today.
Lenny, 19, said: "I saw an advert on Facebook looking for families to sign up for the show and because me and mum never really did much together, I thought it would be good way for us to have a laugh."
After being interviewed by producers on Skype, Lenny and Julie were told they would be the perfect fit for Teen Taxi and began filming last year.
Lenny, a former Great Sankey High School pupil, said the show has brought him and his mum 'a lot closer' as they drive around for three hours discussing different topics as directed by producers.
The footage is then edited and the mum and son appear alongside other families from across the UK for the 12 episodes in series one.
Lenny added: "We can talk about random stuff too and ask advice from our parents.
"In one episode we had to talk about our futures and my mum was telling me about what she got up to at my age and so it has been really good for us both."
In the episode, Lenny considers a career in modelling and in the Army.

In episode two, Julie battles the Warrington traffic to drive her son to Creamfields music festival in Daresbury.
As the teens are transported to college, work, gigs, prom parties, festivals and even modelling shoots, viewers see their ‘taxi drivers’ attempting to coach them in sport, reminiscing about their own childhoods, supporting them through panic attacks, offering them unsolicited advice or just trying to ‘get down’ with their children.
Lenny and Julie are currently filming for series two while series one is available to watch on iPlayer.
