Who is Wire Flyer? The speed star who got fans talking

The Wire Flyer is the star of a the new half time competition for Warrington Wolves fans to enjoy.

All the competitor has to do is win a race against The Flyer – a mystery man dressed in green.

Answer questions, and the more you get right, the bigger the lead.

Sounds simple right?

Well not as Saturday’s contestant was comfortably beaten despite being handed a 30 metre start.

The race will take place at half time during each Wolves home match this season.

But the big question is, who is the Wire Flyer?

We take a look at the runners and riders.

Two wingers who had scored plenty of tries for Warrington in recent years are Chris Riley and Kevin Penny.

The Flyer seemed pretty quick so could it be Kevin Penny behind the mask?

Ade Gardner has just arrived at Warrington and always looked pretty quick when he was at Saints.

Has he got a new suit to wear at half time?
