A THREE-DAY Christmas Makers Market is coming to Warrington this year.
More than 70 stalls will be dotted across the town centre from Friday, November 30 to Saturday, December 2.
And shoppers can enjoy free parking on the four Sundays leading up to Christmas while extra night buses will be put on to help people get back from a night out.
It is part of a programme of events organised by the new BID, designed to promote the range of activities in the town centre.
The BID has also commissioned a digital marketing campaign linked to the theme of The 12 Days of Christmas which will pull together all town centre events, special promotions and food and drink offers at facebook.com/the12ways.
The campaign includes a large-scale treasure map trail to get people exploring the town centre and brightening up store fronts and vacant properties.
Warrington’s newly appointed BID manager, Donna Tuxford said, “With more than £50,000 of additional investment by Warrington’s BID members, we’re hoping that this year’s Christmas will be a bumper one for business.”
The Makers Market will give visitors the chance to select from a range of unique gifts and sample the fare from more than 70 stalls featuring town centre traders plus selected specialists, who source, grow, rear, bake, make and create the products they sell.
There will be free street entertainment, a teepee performance space and music across the town centre throughout that weekend.
The BID has also invested in new Christmas lighting for Palmyra Square and Bridge Street. And, in partnership with Warrington police, free shopper safety kits will be distributed at awareness events in Golden Square, Warrington Market and Cockhedge Shopping Park.
