LOUIS Anderson played in Warrington Wolves’ 27-22 defeat of Celtic Crusaders despite suffering from sickness 24 hours earlier.
The Kiwi international back rower figured in the opening 20 minutes and returned for a spell in the second half, making sure that head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith had as much experience on the field as possible for a tough game.
Smith said: “Louis has had some sickness and we were doubtful on him, not sure if he was actually going to play.
“He had some vomiting and diarrhoea on Saturday and was a bit flat on Sunday. He was down in some energy.”
