THE Wire are working hard to provide “the best players possible” to head coach Steve Price, chief executive Karl Fitzpatrick says.
Warrington are believed to be in the market for players to bring in for next season, with two players in particular heavily linked.
They are are former St Helens half-back Kyle Eastmond and Australian loose forward Jason Clark, with reports claiming The Wire are in negotiations with both players.
Eastmond, a dual-code England international, has not played rugby league since 2011 but is currently a free agent.

The 28-year-old left rugby union side Wasps upon the expiry of his contract having initially made the move to the 15-man code with Bath.
Clark, 28, has played for South Sydney Rabbitohs ever since making his NRL debut in 2009 but announced earlier this year that he would be leaving the club at the end of 2018.
Fitzpatrick says Wolves are active in the market but stressed the complications of moves for the sort of quality they aim to bring to the club.
“Things are moving and we are always monitoring the market,” he told the Guardian.
“We are looking at potential recruitment options and we are well-resourced.
“It is never easy in a salary-capped sport, but we are doing what we can to recruit and retain the best players possible for Steve.
“The process can be difficult, but we are a well-resourced club and we’ll make as many of those resources available to Steve as we can.”
Fitzpatrick also says he hopes to have “good news soon” for fans with regards to contract renewals for some of the club’s current stars.
The likes of Ben Westwood, Dec Patton and Dom Crosby are among the players who are off-contract at the end of 2018.
“Steve is currently going through the players he wants to retain,” he said.
“We are in contract negotiations with some of those players having already secured the likes of Toby King, Mike Cooper and Harvey Livett.
“Hopefully, we will have some more good news for fans on that front soon.”
Fitzpatrick also expressed excitement for what the rest of the season may hold for The Wire, starting with Saturday’s Challenge Cup quarter-final clash with Wigan.
He says he is “delighted” with the way Price has stamped his mark upon the team.
“We didn’t expect this year to be a transitional year, but we knew things would take time.
“That said, I’m delighted with Steve and with what he’s doing at the moment.
“It’s exciting times for us and we hope for an exciting end to the season.
“Saturday is a huge game for us. Ticket sales have gone well so we’re expecting a big crowd.
“We hope we can get a packed house. It makes a big difference to the players to get the Halliwell Jones rocking.”
