TOBY King will miss Saturday’s game against Hull Kingston Rovers after head coach Steve Price confirmed there was “a bit of a tear” in his hamstring.
King, who signed a new deal with The Wire until November 2019 today, was substituted in Saturday’s 22-6 win at Salford Red Devils and has a history of hamstring troubles.
Ryan Atkins is expected to slot back into the centres on Saturday, but Price said there is no timescale for King’s return just yet.
“He’s got a bit of a tear. It’s in the hands of the medical team,” he said.
“There’s no timescale on Toby yet. We’ll know more later in the week but he won’t play on Saturday.”
Price also confirmed that prop Mike Cooper will be fit to play on Saturday after he took a knock on his elbow during The Wire’s fifth victory in a row.
