AHEAD of tonight's end-of-season Wolves awards ceremony, Ben Evans has confirmed he will be leaving the club at the end of the season.
The 23-year-old twin of Wolves centre or winger Rhys has not featured in the first team this year.
He was making excellent progress last season until an horrible quad tear ended his campaign.
Evans, who has had a loan spell at Bradford Bulls and played on dual registration with partner clubs, came through the academy ranks with his brother after moving north from Bridgend as a young teenager to pursue a rugby league career.
Initially, he started a new life at Great Sankey High School and with Burtonwood Bulldogs.
Evans said: “I’ve had an amazing time at the club since moving up here with Rhys and would like to thank all the staff and my team mates for the opportunity but for now it’s time to move on.”
Wales international Evans made his first-team debut in February, 2014, before going on to make 22 appearances in the primrose and blue.
The talents of the Evans twins were first spotted by the Warrington scouts in 2005 when playing in the schools curtain-raiser to the Challenge Cup final.
