WARRINGTON Hockey Club men’s first team continue to fly high as Knutsford were on the receiving end of some of their finest play of the campaign to date.

Richard Cooke scored with two short-corner drag flicks as Knutsford were thrashed 4-1, with Andrew Gould and Douglas Samuels also getting on the scoresheet.

Meanwhile, Iain Richards was in fine form for the seconds as he plundered a hat-trick of goals in a 3-0 victory at Wrexham.

Despite dominating possession throughout the match, the women’s firsts found themselves beaten 1-0 by Macclesfield while the seconds – playing most of the game a player short – went down 3-0 against Oswestry.
