STEVE Price admitted The Wire’s win over Huddersfield Giants was “ugly” but was proud of his side for “doing what they had to do.”
The 26-24 win was enough to secure Wolves’ place in Super League’s top four and book a semi-final spot.

Price admitted his side could have managed the game better in stages but credited the players for “hanging tough” as Huddersfield game back.
“We did what we had to do to get the result,” he said.
“I’m just really pleased for the group of men we had out there to and find a way to win. It’s good to finally cement that top-four spot.
“When it was 22-14, I felt we were in control. Them scoring off the back of the long-range line break was very disappointing.
“We hung tough and we found a way.
“It was an ugly win, but you have to do what you have to do.
“We could have managed the game better certainly in stages. We’ll learn from that and move onto next week.”
