WARRINGTON Wolves' fans can make all the difference in the bid to win the Challenge Cup for a fourth time in 10 years.
Wire vice-captain Kevin Brown revealed the impact of the primrose and blue army on him when he played for Huddersfield against his current club in the 2009 decider at Wembley.
"Warrington had so many fans there it was such a big occasion for them," said the 33-year-old.
“We felt a little bit as though we were there to make the numbers up.
“We expected to win the game but the sheer task when you walked out and saw the amount of fans behind Warrington was incredible.
“If we can replicate that this year it would be unbelievable and that’s something that I’m really looking forward to, wearing that ‘6’ for Warrington but having that army of fans behind us as well.”
Current assistant coach Lee Briers was at stand-off for Warrington in that final and he added: “We just hope every Warrington fan that can possibly get there does so because it makes such a difference.
“There’s going to be times where the lads are tired and they need that inspiration. They can be our 18th man.”
