THERE were around 7,000 fans cheering The Wire on to victory in Sunday’s semi-final over Leeds Rhinos.
They helped to create a stunning atmosphere as they saw their side reach their fifth Challenge Cup Final in 10 years.
Now, Steve Price gave us the following message for the Wire faithful:
“We want to say thank you for all the energy you brought to the game.
“On behalf of everyone at the club, we’re very appreciative of you ladies and gents who came along and what you do for the players.
“I’m just really pleased for the players to get to Wembley.
“We’re a few weeks away from a shot at achieving where we want to get to.
“It’s important that we enjoy special wins. That’s why we play rugby league.
“It’s a credit to how hard the players have worked to get where we are now.
“We enjoyed the win, but our feet are back in the ground now.
“We’ve got back into the grind, and it’s on to the next one.”
