Q: How have things changed for you, both from a personal and a team perspective, under Steve Price this year?
Sonia Clarke
A: I have a really good relationship with Steve on a personal level. I’m a big Steve Price fan, I like him a lot! He told me little things I needed to work on in pre-season so he’s been really good with his man management.
He’s also got a really good sense of humour. He gets me, which is very rare.
He’s changed the culture of the club and brought a stronger, tougher mentality across the board. We’re a very tight-knit group and we’ve all bought into it.
Q: What has been your favourite game for Warrington since joining from Hull?
Adam Hanglin
A: Probably when we won the League Leader’s Shield against Hull FC at the KCOM Stadium in 2016.
I’d not played for nine weeks – it was a very bad season for me personally – and it was my return to Hull. The winner of that game won the League Leader’s, so that was a good day.
Q: Would you like to stay with the club beyond the end of your current contract?
Danielle Holmes
A: I’m enjoying my time very much. I’ve got 18 months left but I’m really enjoying myself.
I do miss home. I miss the Yorkshire air, it’s a bit fresher over there. A lot can happen in 18 months. I could have kids by then!
Q: How have you found playing alongside Josh Charnley?
Carole Watson
A: He’s a top-quality player and a really good bloke as well. He’s fitted straight in. I can pick things up from him as he’s done it all at Wigan. He brings a lot of energy, so it’s good to have him around
Q: Do you think the team is playing better as a whole since Charnley has joined?
Lee Riley
A: Definitely, he’s made a massive difference. His try-scoring is unbelievable, he only needs half a chance. With how clinical he is, it makes it a lot more difficult for the opposition. He’s worked wonders since he came in and I think he’s probably the form winger in the competition at the moment.
Q: What is your favourite Wire chant?
Daniel Hunt
A: (Sings the “it’s always our year” chant) One day it will be!
Q: Who has the best nickname in the squad and what is it?
Dave Wynne-Jones
A: Bennie Westwood is obviously called “Super” and he likes to remind us of that on a daily basis. It’s testament to the illustrious career he’s had, and he’s a really nice person 95 per cent of the time. I think it’s a fitting title for him.
Q: Who gave you the nickname “The Flying Pig?”
Keith Michael Forsyth
A: A few years ago – I think it was around 2014 – Super League had an “extraordinaires” campaign and players from each team were given nicknames. I think I had Tommy “The Torpedo” Lineham or something like that and it didn’t really fit.
Jason Crookes, who was playing with me for Hull at the time, came out with it and called me the Flying Pig. It took off at Hull and now it’s followed me here.
Q: How is Cynthia the mannequin?
Kathie Price
A: She’s killing it! She’s in the spare room at the minute. She’s wearing a nice blue dress, she’s got a cap on and she’s got my League Leader’s Medal round her neck.
When my neighbours look up at the window, I’ve positioned her so she’s looking down into their garden all the time. I’ve bought a hot tub as well.
I don’t really like my neighbours, so now I don’t think they’ll have a clue what’s going on. Every time they have a glance they’ll see Cynthia in the window gawping down at them.
