MICHAEL Monaghan has landed himself a coaching job.
Warrington Wolves’ Australian hooker, who retired from playing after Friday night’s loss to Wigan Warriors, will be working for a rival Super League club in 2015.
“I’ve got my first coaching job, so I’ll be heading off to do that,” said the 34-year-old, who appeared in three Challenge Cup successes and three Grand Final losses during a 14-year playing career with Canberra Raiders, Manly and Warrington.
“It’s not been announced yet, but in the coming days I’ll probably let everyone know what’s going on.
“The job is over here. I would have liked to have stayed at Warrington but there isn’t an opportunity for me so I’ve found something elsewhere in Super League and I’m looking forward to that challenge in the next phase of my career.”
