THE sister of an inmate was caught trying to smuggle cannabis into Risley Prison.
Rachel Smith, from Manchester, was found with 5.3g of cannabis resin hidden in her bra while being searched when she went to visit him on September 10 last year.
Warrington Crown Court heard on Monday how the small amount had a street price of £30.
But in prison the price would reach five times that price at £150.
Peter Hussey, prosecuting, said at a previous visit to the prison her brother had asked her to bring the drugs in to Risley.
Judge Nicholas Woodward ordered the 25-year-old to complete a new direction course and pay £250 costs.
