VILLAGERS have been ringing in the changes by starting a new chapter for a disused phone box.
Hatton Parish Council bought the red pay phone from BT for £1 earlier this year and after brain-storming ideas with residents, councillors have opted to transform the empty phone box into a book exchange.
Book shelves will be placed in the unit, which is based near to the Hatton Arms pub.
To help the idea get off the ground, people can give books to David Charles, parish council clerk, at 19 Goose Lane, Hatton.
