PRAM users like Katy Houghton are about to have their lives made easier on a popular bus route.
She has struggled since Warrington Borough Transport (WBT) took over the 386 service from Leigh at short notice with some of its older models.
But now WBT has bought a dozen new buggy-friendly buses at a cost of £105,000 each - and they should be in service by the summer.
Katy handed in a 125-name petition after falling down the steps while trying to get off the 386 as she came home from Priestley College.
"There were lots of people on board but no-one offered to help," said the 17-year-old, from Harpers Road, who is studying for a B-Tec in sport.
But by then, WBT was already taking action to buy new, buggy-friendly buses, complete with CCTV.
Nigel Featham, managing director, said: "When Arriva announced they would be continuing the 386 service with eight weeks' notice we were pleased to step in, but the short notice left insufficient time to order new buses."
Six buses will arrive in February to cover the 25 to Birchwood route, and the others will arrive in the summer for the 386 route.
