TWO new faces made their debut for Crewe Alex at Gresty Road against Bury on Tuesday night.
Marcus Bignot, aged 23, is manager Dario Gradi's latest signing for the club for the sum of £100,000.
A former YTS with Birmingham Marcus also played for Telford before moving to Kidderminster.
And Julian Watts, of premiership side Leicester, is also in the current team on a months loan.
But despite the two new names, Dario is still looking to strengthen the squad further.
"We've got to improve the squad at any chance we get," he said. "You can't be happy when you're in the second league and there are teams above you with better players.
"We need to look for a replacement for Gareth Whalley if he goes. If someone wants to come and buy Gareth they can, he's ready to go and has been for the best part of a year.
"We also need someone to make a good impact up front, someone who can take people on."
- Crewe's match against Port Vale on Sunday, due to be televised on Sky, was cancelled following the death of Diana, Princess of Wales.
