DOUG Hoyle has stepped down as Warrington Wolves chairman ahead of today's game against Harlequins.
The 79-year-old former Labour politician was appointed to the role in 1999 but has decided to make way following the club's Challenge Cup winning season.
Hoyle walked out on to the pitch to address fans prior to the club's final game of the season.
He said: "I am going to say to you, the support, that after 10 years I am stepping down.
"Thank you for all the support you have given to me, my fellow directors and the players."
