THREE fire engines were called to a car fire on the M56 near Lymm Interchange.
Firefighters were called to the motorway shortly before 4pm on Saturday, September 28.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish a fire involving a car on the hard shoulder.

The incident happened on the westbound carriageway between junction 9 at the Lymm Interchange and junction 8 for Bowdon.
Three fire engines from Lymm, Birchwood and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service dealt with the incident.
