POLICE have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to after another man was knocked unconscious by two strangers.

At 12.25am last Friday, April 12, a 26-year-old man was assaulted by two unknown men on Bridge Street in Warrington town centre.

The victim was left lying unconscious in the street while the two men fled the scene.

Thankfully, the injuries he sustained were later found to be minor.

Following the attack, a 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault. He has since been released on bail.

Officers have now released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in relation to this incident.

DS Neil Mooney said: “Enquiries are currently ongoing, and as part of our investigation we would like to speak to the man pictured in the CCTV image.

“If anyone recognises this man, please contact us via cheshire.police.uk/tell-us or call 101, quoting IML 1798515.

“I would also like to appeal directly to the man pictured to come forward."
