A WARRIGNTON academy has reopened its doors following a major refurbishment.

The Cheshire Training Academy located on John Street in the town centre has been ‘transformed’ into a ‘vibrant hub of learning’ in recent months.

First launched in February 2020, the academy provides training courses in a variety of areas including beauty, massage therapy and nails – ranging from level three to level four diplomas.

Some of the courses include makeup master classes, nail acrylic workshops, hot stone massages, spray tanning and eyebrow threading and lamination classes.

The academy has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment, with most rooms being updated with a fresh lick of paint and new furnishings, as well as the addition of a ‘trendy’ communal area and a ‘beautifully’ presented massage treatment room.

A spokesperson for the Cheshire Training Academy said: “Cheshire Training Academy has had a complete refurbishment.

“All areas of the building have been freshly painted. We have new areas for our Learners to enjoy their down time, come together and get to know each other in a modern and trendy communal area.

“We now have a beautifully presented Massage Treatment room. The room consists of 10 Massage beds and is equipped with all the relevant massage equipment. This room is also used for our one-day commercial courses including lash courses, brow courses and waxing.”

The academy has also revealed it has invested in high spec laptops that learners can use to complete their qualifications in the new designated theory/exam room.

A spokesperson for the academy added: “The room has also created a quiet working environment. If learners need to escape their hectic home surroundings to complete their assignments, this is the ideal place.”

One former student who attended Cheshire Training Academy to study nails and make up, Sindy Haskew-Jones, spoke highly of her experience.

She said: "I enrolled at the Cheshire Training Academy in 2020 on the Level 3 Nail Technicians Course. The enrolment process was quick and full of all the information required. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

“Whilst doing this course I also enrolled to do the Level 2 Make up course. Help was on hand any time of the day and no question was too much.

“During these courses’ lockdown hit us and this was handled amazingly by the staff and tutors. All the face-to-face lesson were swapped for Zoom lessons and the understanding from the tutors of having the kids at home and in the background most of the time was just amazing - Patience of a saint.”

Sindy added that since gaining her qualifications, she has gone on to study further courses at the academy including eyelash lift and tint and a Level 3 Sports Massage course.

“I plan to complete my Level 4 sports massage this year and then look to complete an acupuncture course.

“I now have regular clients for sports massages and have worked with the Warrington Wolves Women's team for a short period.

“Learning a new skill and going out into the big world alone is scary but with the help I received and still receive from all the wonderful caring staff and tutors from the Academy still to this day has made it possible for me to change career and do something that I love at the age of 40.

“The Academy has come a long way since they opened in Warrington and now has many more beauty courses available with more beauty rooms and is extending and growing all the time.

“I would 100 per cent recommend The Cheshire Training Academy to anyone looking for a friendly, professional and welcoming place to learn Beauty.”
