WARRINGTON has been named as one of the best places to live in the country.
Property finder company Garrington has published its 2024 marketing report for England and Wales.
The report ranks more than 1,400 towns, cities and villages on measures covering four categories – natural beauty, wellbeing, heritage, and schools, employment and connectivity, as well as value for money.
Warrington finds itself near the top of the table.

The average cost of a family home in Warrington, according to Garrington, is £382,979 – a 3.9 per cent rise in the last 12 months.
Lymm and Newton have also scored highly.
Lymm was ranked 83rd, with an average house price of £548,260.
It also scored well in schools and location and heritage.
Newton-le-Willows ranked 455th, with an average house price of £323,635.
